From 1 to 50 feet long, these banners are completely customizable for any job, operation, or event. These standard size banners are the bread and butter of display ads.
Choose between three vinyl banner material options: heavy-duty 18-oz vinyl, 13-oz premium matte, or 13-oz premium gloss.
The extra heavy-duty 18-oz option offers increased durability and resilience. It is perfect for those who want to display banners outdoors for a long period of time. Our 13-oz options will still provide ample durability indoors and outdoors, though it is not designed for harsh weather.
If you intend to use your banner indoors, then we suggest ordering it in the matte finish. We suggest this option because interior lighting tends to glare or glint off of gloss finished banners. However, both finishing options are perfectly suitable for indoor and outdoor use. If you choose to create a custom banner with mesh or fabric material, you will be redirected to the corresponding pages. Some common uses for these banners are personalized church banners, custom school banners, & event banners!

What are standard size banners?
Standard size banners are commonly ordered banner dimensions, typically printed on vinyl and available in multiple materials. Sizes can range from smaller banners (like 1' × 1') up to large banners (up to 8' × 50').
What standard vinyl banner sizes do you offer?
Standard sizes range from 1' × 1' up to 8' × 50'. Common options include 2' × 4' (24" × 48"), 3' × 5' (36" × 60"), 3' × 6' (36" × 72"), and 4' × 8' (48" × 96").
What size banner should I choose for my viewing distance?
As a general rule, increase banner size as viewing distance increases. For close-range messaging, 2' × 4' or 3' × 5' is common; for farther viewing, 3' × 6' or 4' × 8' is often used.
What material are they made of?
Standard size banners are available in multiple materials, including 13‑oz premium vinyl (matte or gloss), 18‑oz extra heavy‑duty vinyl, PVC polyester mesh, and polyester fabric. If you’d like help choosing a material, contact our customer service team.
What’s the best material for outdoor standard-size banners?
For longer-term outdoor use, 18‑oz extra heavy‑duty vinyl is a top choice for durability. For windy locations, mesh is ideal. For short-term outdoor or indoor use, 13‑oz vinyl is a popular option.
Matte vs. gloss vinyl: which finish should I pick?
Matte helps reduce glare under indoor lighting. Gloss can look more vibrant and high-contrast. Both finishes can be used indoors or outdoors—glare and appearance are the main differences.
What is the thickness of your banners?
Standard size vinyl banners are available in 13‑oz and 18‑oz options. The 13‑oz vinyl is a popular choice for indoor and outdoor use.
Do these banners come double-sided?
Yes. Double‑sided banners are available in 13‑oz gloss, 13‑oz matte, and 18‑oz extra heavy‑duty vinyl. Maximum double-sided print size is 6' × 30'.
What finishing should I choose: hems and grommets or pole pockets?
Hems and grommets are the most common and flexible option for general installs. Pole pockets are best when you plan to slide the banner onto a pole or crossbar for a clean presentation.
How do I install my banner?
Hems and grommets or pole pockets can be added. If you select grommets, we recommend using ball bungees on all grommets provided to distribute tension for a cleaner hang. Standard grommets are 1/2" in diameter. Pole pockets come in 2", 3", and 4"; avoid placing text or important images within 3" of the banner’s edge when choosing pole pockets.
Do you have recommended file types and resolution for printing?
For best results, upload print-ready PDF or EPS files when possible, or a high-resolution JPG. High-quality artwork helps text and logos print cleanly at full size.
Should I include bleed and a safe area in my design?
Bleed is not needed on artwork files for banners, but it is always good to have a safe area of at least 2–3 inches to keep important text/logos away from the edges and finishing areas (like grommets or pole pockets) to help avoid trimming or coverage issues.
